One of our favorite projects was recently visited to see what is new after 17 months. Well, the frogs have been busy as all living species tend to be in the spring. The beaver dam analogs are functioning as designed and the floodplain is abundant with life. Approximately 7,800 linear feet of stream was restored to reduce degradation and reconnect the stream to its’ floodplain. Below is a photograph of the stream before restoration, what a difference.
